Commercial Photo Questions: The client or company that I am representing is Nike Inc. The product are the Nike air force 1. The target audience is teens and young adults. I would expect to see this advertisement almost anywhere. I used my phones  camera. I will use natural lighting but I will have an extra light for focus. I need props of people from the brand that will look at this photo and think that it could bring peoples attention and want to buy the product.

Jump Start Your Photography: 1. Go to the movies 2. Try to learn a new lighting technique 3. Looking at popular photo blogs 4. Listening to my favorite music 5. Read an art magazine 6. Look 360 7. Reproduce art by the art masters 8. See an art show 9. Shoot in the dark 10. Use an app in an interesting way. I would use all of these tips to get inspired and to gain ideas from it in order to shoot new and wonderful things that I feel like shooting. All of these ways are very fun to do and great for coming up with new ideas. 

Broad Art Museum Collection: 1. I really like how the colors go together and yet it is a darker type of look. 2. I really like how the artist created this piece with silkscreen ink on linen. 3. This piece was created in 2006 almost 15 years ago, it just makes me think about the past. 4. This piece catch my eye mostly because compared to the other artworks it gives me dark vibes with some colorfulness, almost like a balance between the artworks. 5. In this artwork you can see how there are different sections of the linen and it makes it much more interesting to look at, which was one of the things that I really like from this artwork.

 

Social Media Trends 2021: 

1. ”Reel” Brand Personality: Reels are an easy an effective way of promoting a brand with just a short seconds of a video. I could easily apply this to my brand by making short and commercial like videos that people can enjoy.
2. Make new friends: Making short videos are great for content but you can always make long videos in order to put your brand out and allow others to get to know your brand better. I can use this in order to make people as friends of my brand, they’ll get to know my brand and if they like what I have to offer then I can get much more customers/viewers and what not.
3. Stories: This is great for sharing small parts of your brand that aren’t necessarily things you have to promote worldwide. I think that people like feeling that your brand can become their family, therefore stories allow the people to feel like they get to see every small thing that grows on your brand.
4. Screen to Screen time: Face to face with people who your brand will get benefits from is great, but screen to screen is also good. This way you can speak, discuss and elaborate in a much more easier way for your brand.
5. eCommerce: You can literally make ecommerce anywhere that allows people from all over the world to see. Social media can allow you to do just that, a great and effective way for my brand.
6. Content Strategy: Knowing how to work with social media and content is a must when promoting your brand. I should know what is the best way to produce content on all useful platforms in order to get my brand much more popular.
7. Text on Facebook: Putting out essential works for people to understand your brand is a must. I have to know what my followers will rather see, something that can get the point across with as little as possible for it to be easy and fast for my followers.
8. Brand personality upfront: When having a brand you are the person who knows what is happening behind the scenes and how much work goes through it. People that follow you thought like to know how passionate your brand is, they like to know what you are really doing in order to put your brand out. So putting the behind the scenes in front of your brand can be an amazing way to attract people to your brand.

Photography Job Hunting On Indeed:

I would first and foremost be interested in fashion photography. Since I am really interested in the fashion industry I think that becoming a fashion photographer would be great for me. I found two jobs on indeed that I think would be nice for first experience as a fashion photographer. The first one I found was as a photographer for the brand Pac Sun, for this job I most definitely need a wide knowledge with fashion and photogprhay in order to follow the brands style and concept. This job also required me to be able to travel to different locations and to have the necessary equipment to shoot in different locations and weather. The only thing you need to be able to work in this job is good physical work to carry out other materials and things to a shoot, pretty much I need my experience in photography and make sure that I am physically prepared for all time to be doing something depending on this job. The second job that I found was a job as an assistant photographer, since I have never really worked as a photography, starting to be an assistant would be of great experience for me. This job requires to be a full time worker, enough skills on photogprhay and have the necessary equipment for the job, studio lighting techniques and knowledge on the 35mm DSLR. 

Review of 2 articles on Canon Lens Experience: 

First articles I read was about a celebrity portrait photographer named Jeremy Cowart. What I liked more about this articles is that Cowart explained how at first he did not intended to be a photographer but as things came he realized that photography was something he wanted to do professionally. Cowart also explained that although he did not have the absolute best gear to take professional photographs he was still able to make photos look amazing. He explained that he wants to be able to teach his kids such examples that he learned growing up and I think that I could learn from things like that too. Basically with the information I got from this was that no matter how much you have, you can still take photos and learn from your time to become a professional photography but I also learned that it is okay to change your mind if you want to pursue something different all of a sudden.

Second articles that I read was about Donna Dotan an architectural photographer. I think that this story really made me understand that sometimes when you need to do something for your career you go out anywhere in order to accomplish such career. Dotan said that she usually sweet talks her way to get inside buildings to be able to capture photos of other buildings like skyscrapers which are really tall. Dotan also explained some of her techniques to get het shots. I think that her type of photography style is really interesting since you already have what you need to take a photo of but it is hard to get in a positions where you will be bale to get a good photograph.  What I learned from Dotan is that sometimes photography can take up to weeks so accomplish such amazing shots, thus making it a challenge since sometimes clients want their photography sooner than that. This articles taught me that no matter what type of photogprhay you do, there is always a challenge and that is what makes it fun as well. 

Favorite Photo From 100 most influential list:

This photograph had quite the impact on me for reasons I will mention right now. I guess when seeing this picture, I get reminded of how beautiful nature and life is. Life indeed is truly beautiful, you know as long as there are no animals killing people, or people killing people. Unfortunately many people live with hate in their hearts, but if you have the chance to be comfortable in your day to day life, then chances are that you are living a beautiful life. So when I look at this picture, it just makes me think of how small and meaningless, things can be, I feel like sometimes things that have and are impacting our society are meaningless. This is because is incredible how some people decide to act upon hate and upon benefitting their lives and only their lives. Is like they don’t see that ”things” don’t matter, don’t get me wrong though having things is good, some people are just obsessed and commit terrible and evil acts for things, like money and power, even though their life won’t even last long for that. I see this picture and I see the things the matter, like love and kindness, at least I get a good emotion seeing this picture.

Yes the emotions when I see this picture are of good emotions. The beauty of space, and all the colors, humans are the universe, I mean seriously, have you seen the body anatomy and how it looks like space, stars and galaxies? I think it is so cool how somehow everything is and looks the same. This photo affects my emotions because it is wonderful seeing things we don’t understand. A lot of people don’t understand some things in Earth, and they act with fear and hate, but to be honest, that is just a reflection of themselves. Unknown things are cool to explore, it is all beautiful, the chaotic things are just things done with bad and negative emotions but everything else can be beautiful if people and you wish to see it. Wonderful photo, I say, wonderful photo I see. There is not much to describe why I think this photo is such a strong single photo. I do think that since people are not familiar with space and the universe, that this photo can be interesting to everyone and anyone, why wouldn’t it be? Well everyone has their preferences on things and that is totally okay.

Sandy Skoglund Critique: Fist and foremost we can see how Skoglund works with mostly color contrast in her artwork. Her works are definitely one of a kind, very unique and I think that everyone can find them very interesting. Her works have such different and imaginary things that one has to look for a long  time to try to come up with the meaning of her artworks. I love that she doesn’t just do photography she also creates a 3d art to be able to make her artworks. I think that what I love the most about her artwork is the different and interesting objects she has made to perform a complete piece photo. Her artworks are so imaginary in a sense that people would probably not think its possible to create such pieces. Her process to make such 3d pieces come to life sure is handwork and it sure pays off the way of a professional artist Skoglund is.

Wassily Kandinsky Critique: I think we all know that Kandinsky was popular for doing the most abstract works anyone has first ever seen. Kandinsky worked with lots of different colors and lots of different shapes. Sometimes he would make works that people did not understand. When I say works that people did not understand, I mean works that we really cannot tell what they are, are they just shapes making one piece of art, or are they supposed to represent something even more meaningful that we don’t even know about. Kandinsky worked with similar colors often and rarely worked with darker colors, thus making his artwork more light and warm than dark and cold. My opinion on Kandinsky’s artwork is that it is very interesting how he would sometimes use similar shapes, yet make each artwork so different. I do wish I could of seen more darker in color pieces but that is probably just my preference on artwork, clearly you will be able to see how with my artwork inspired by Kandinsky reflects on my personal preference of darker colors. This is one of the only darker in color artwork Kandinsky has.

 

Reasons why photography is important: 

Why is photography so important? Well yes, I do think photography is very important to not just photographers but also the whole world. I do believes that photography is important because it allows other people to see the different perspectives and the different things going on in the world. I think that somehow photogprhay can and is use as evidence for events that happen in the world or even crime scenes. Photography is important too because it allows people to have memories of their experiences in their lives, yes even if those experiences were positive or negative to people. Photography is a way of remembering, having evidence and knowing information. Photography is also highly important because people can express themselves through photography (my favorite reason of why photography is important). Photogprhay is art after all, and art is a part of human beings.

Other reasons why photography is important are how photos are important to be aware of our planet. A lot of people do not care about the planet which really means they don’t care about themselves. With photography thought it allows to raise awareness on what the Earth is really going through. Photogprhay is also very important in science since it is a tool that helps scientist to discover, do research on, and find answers to questions. Photography is also a way to make money, there are so many different kinds of photogprhay one can work on and get money out of it, a fun and expressive way to work. Overall photography is really awesome and very important on many different areas of life in the world.

Social Issue Poster Writing:

Well I wanted to make a social poster about women’s rights first and foremost because all women in the globe are affected by this. All women and girls need their rights. I had to make such kind of poster because sexisms and misogynism are way bigger than many other social or political issue all over the world. I think that people should talk about the bigger problems before any other much smaller issues. Yes, I am a girl and I feel obligated to make a poster of such issue, most people in the world are women so to me I must talk about or be able to show something that represents what kind of issue women and girls and their good men could do to support such rights. I doubt I have any arguments that are against women’s rights, the only thing I can say is that when men feel threatened that women are saying ”women’s rights” it just shows how true it is the fact that women could have better rights and much more equality. No one has necessarily influenced my actions, but clearly when we look at the globe we can see that women should be much more respected and treated much better. The flip side of my issue? Well I don’t think there is a flip side to women’s rights at all. The other side, the people who think women should have less rights are plain hateful, and want power to themselves only. I think that the point of view of people who may say women should not have the same rights as men, are hateful, not only to women but are hateful to themselves, they hate themselves and they let their ego control their lives when their is no need of such. My reason for choosing my stand, well have you heard and seen what happens to women all over the world? plain and simple I must take such stand. My artwork is not meant to offend, it is meant to state exactly what it is all over the world. The only people that would be offended are the same people I was talking about, people with hate to themselves and women, so basically and most likely men who want the power to themselves, which not only affects negatively to women but also to good men. My poster is quite simple and just states what some women are trying to accomplish which are their rights. The is a focal point since the poster shows the female sign right in the center of the poster.

First up we have the photographer Granville Carroll whom most recent works have to do with humans and the universe. One of the quotes Carroll has in his website of Carl Sagan states, “The cosmos is within us. We are made of star-stuff. We are a way for the universe to know itself.” I am guessing that Carroll’s recent works can be put into such words of Carl Sagan. I definitely think Carroll has been inspired by the universe to create what I think they could be named ”universal works”. I picked this photographer because I just think its so beautiful the way Carroll sees humans as part of the universe within, as a visual artist that Carroll is, I think that he has done a great job at representing what he sees humans and everything that exists as one. Overall when it comes to Carroll’s work I quite truly love it, his work is beautiful and really interesting and I am hoping to see more. While his website format is very simple and highly organized which is great. In his website he has his photo collections in order and has a short writing to express through words what he wanted to represent and show. I really like this photographer and I will definitely want to see more.

Second photographer I chose was Hernease Davis who has created many different art collections of her photographs that are very interesting for anyone to look at I would say. One of Davis most interesting artwork was what she named ” A Womb Of My Own (Mistakes Were Made In Development)” which has a lot to do with ”self care” as Davis stated. I think that the most interesting things of Davis work is the way she makes these photos and art work. All the material and process that took for her artwork to be completed is what interested me very much. Davis has done other many other pieces that show less creativity in my perspective but is able to project a feeling to each of her work is that is very much pleasing to see. Overall I do like her work a lot but I think she could use more creativity in what she wants to express. As far as her website comes, it is neat, and understandable where to look at things of her website. Davis keeps it simple, which I think embodies her artwork as well. Finally I will say that her artwork is really nice and her website is neat, although it does not express much.

Read And Reflect: Becoming a photographer is a very interesting job, it is a very accessible career. Photography is also a very popular career since many people need or want photographers for their own content or advertising, or of course just to create their artistic expression.  What I like about photographers is that they do not necessarily need an actual routine to work. Photographers can create their on business and can work on specific types of photogprhay that they like. For me photography is a very fun job to do since you get to meet a lot of different people and you get to go to so many different places, which makes the whole experience so much fun. Being a photographer allows you  to basically have full control of how you work and how you present yourself which just gives so much more freedom. I think that becoming a photographer is definitely one of the greatest and most satisfying jobs one can do, mostly when you work with art. I for sure I’m thankful for being able to have photography as an actual paying job.

I would need all this equipment to be able to do fashion photography. First of course I need a good camera, and some good lens. Reflector and flash gun are all part of good lighting, and since fashion photography would be performed in setting in any places, then I need to make sure I can always conduct good lighting. The table for graphics is to draw out anything that I want in 3D, anything I have been visualizing to make it come into fruition for my artwork. The backdrop paper is important since I need a good background no matter what. The backdrop stands its of course for the backdrop paper to hold into whatever place I would need it to hold. Last but certainly not least the flash drive since I must save anything, like the photos and any drawing made, all which help to create the best fashion photography.
